ClearCut is a new sign-making program for Windows. It will take over
where PostCut left off, providing a fast, efficient way to drive cutters
from EPS files. ClearCut will incorporate the tried and tested functionality
of our DOS software VinylWriter, whilst adding the compatability and ease of
use that Windows provides.
Like PostCut, ClearCut will take EPS files from programs such as CorelDraw
and use them to drive a plotter/cutter. ClearCut will also be able to optimise
tool paths, and produce fills and offset paths for routers.
ClearCut is being designed in modular form. The basic plotter driver is likely
to be available to download free from this site - so watch this space. Extra
features, printed manuals and special functions such as router drivers can then
be added with add-in modules purchased from Wight Scientific.
